Why We Exist

Most families are not confused because legal documents are missing. They are confused because, when someone dies or becomes medically incapacitated, there is no one who can explain what the person actually wanted and why

Wills, insurance, and legal processes handle enforcement and distribution. They do not explain context, personal instructions, or sensitive decisions.

The Legacy Office was created to fill that gap.

We exist so families have a clear, neutral point of contact they can call when questions arise — someone who already understands the wishes and instructions prepared in advance.

This reduces guesswork, conflict, and unnecessary stress at the moments when families are least equipped to handle it.

A Neutral Role, By Design

When you can no longer explain, there should still be someone who can.

The Legacy Office is intentionally structured as a non-executing, non-decision-making office.

We do not manage assets, provide legal advice, or take authority away from families, lawyers, or courts.

Our responsibility is limited and deliberate:

  • to understand wishes while a person is alive

  • to preserve context and instructions

  • to explain those wishes clearly when the person can no longer do so

This neutrality is what allows families to trust the role. We are not incentivized by outcomes, inheritances, or decisions.

We exist solely to provide clarity based on what was prepared in advance.
